Description :In the ancient period, the basic language of a play is Sanskrit, but after 10th-11th contrary Sanskrit drama lost its central place, and the theatre activity shifted away from the Sanskrit to the modern Indian languages in various regions of the country. The unfamiliarity among theatre people with the Sanskrit dramatic literature, theatrical practices. Usages, conventions. As wen as Sanskrit aesthetics. No wonder even the existence of the play's of Bhasa was not known except to a very small cognoscenti, the question of staging them just could not arise. The present paper described about the significance of Bhasa plays in the modern era and gives the tributes to the great master of Indian theatre through Bhasa Mahotsava.
