In addition to these sources, the publication of Grotowski's Towards a Poor Theatre in 1968 (with the reference to Kathakali) effect a mystique which has become associated with Kathakali. The late sixties provided an area ripe for the development of these mysteries of Kathakali, as yoga, the wisdom of the east, spiritually and altered states of consciousness became passwords to a tolerable existence. In present article author tried to demystifying Kathakali approach.
