Description :It is a traditional wooden device used for crushing sugarcane to prepare CHUHI (juice) for supply to the traditional Kobok Shang (sweet vendors).
This particular object is collected from Thoubal area of Manipur although it is now extinct from the contemporary Manipuri societies. The device is uniquely shaped with two identically rounded logs which are vertically assembled between a wooden frame. The structure runs with gears, which are beautifully engineered to mechanize for massive production.
