Coin Mould

  • Description :These are two coin moulds made of baked clay. Both are joined opposite with the clay as the casting done is stack process. The negatives of the coin moulds is circular in shape depressed with a more deep negative in it. Surface is rough and its peripheral is chipped or broken. Colour is grey. The negative inside one of the mould shows a potrait of monarch and the inscription around to it enhance its prominance and character. The opposite mould shows the standing figure of probably a monarch or deity. This mould is used to cast coins for currency purpose.
