Coin mould

  • Description :Trench: DX-2, Stratum: Pit 2 sealed by Layer 2.
    The coin mould is made of terracotta. The depression in the mould suggests a deity whose one hand is raised and other hand is placed on the waist. Depiction of pot on one side. Moreover,there is a group of devotees shown on other side. Surface is rough and colour is brick brown. Shape is round. The coin mould was used to cast coins for currency purpose.
