Description :The Kamar is a small tribal group living in south eastern part of Raipur district of chhattisgarh. Most of their villages one situated in forested hilly area. They prefer to built their houses in jungle or plain land near natural water resourses. They make their houses by using sal, karra wood, bamboo and clay. The main room is divided into two parts called khandghar and bhitarghar. The inner-room is bhitarghar for sleeping and keeping household objects. The front room khandghar is used as kitchen and as a place of worship.
