Description :The Lepchas build their houses on the slope on piles or stilts giving a magnificent view of their habitat in the high himalayan mountains. A typical Lepcha house consists of two moderately sized rooms. One of which is used as kitchen (thock) and living room and the second as ceremonial and guest room. A small store room called boh is also attached to the extremity of the side wall. This is the place where Lepchas usually keep fermented millets and rice for preparing local liquor.
