Description :Sderkha is an offering tray designed and fashioned like a cornucopia for the offering of the khazas, Jeero and other eatables made out of flour. In the Buddhist household sderkha ‘griggshi’ is a popular term in Sikkimese, Literal meaning of which is to offer the things in the sderkha fashioned like a mountain gangs chenmdzodngaand kept infornt of the lintel of the enshrined deity. Generally after the ritual sderkha overladen with eatables is also served to the devotees and guests attending the puja.
This Sderkha is attributed in a simple manner the upper tray which is round with a bowl at the centre is supported by a hollowed tapering shaft. The base of the shaft encircled with brass sheet which is embellished with unknown motif. The edge of the upper plate too is illustrated with flowers. The rest of the body is moulded in copper and no attempt has been done to illustrate them with design.
