Description :Tamasha was the most popular form of a play. In the old days Tamasha did not a incorporate play as we have it today. It was only the influence of drama proper in the latter half of the 19th century, which seems to have encouraged the introduction of a rustic kind of play into the traditional Tamasha. But In recent times it is performed in the form of theatre. For developing the status of tamasha peoples are trying several attempts to using pseudo-historical and even social themes of the play. Present article discusses the present and old status of Tamasha.
