A complex repetitive raga is a raga which can be derived from a Melakarta by changing the name of the one of two swaras but not the frequencies A repetitive raga is a raga claiming more than one parent mela. Due to eschewing of common notes, a raga can be ascribed to more than one Janaka raga taking swarastlianas into consideration.
