Description :Present article is about the nagaswaram is a double reed wind instrument. It is a traditional classical instrument used in Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala. The traditional image of the nagaswaram is as an accessory in temple rituals, used bya temple functionary from a lower caste in his hereditary vocation which is totally in the routine service of the temple and has little to do with music as practised elsewhere. nagaswaram is an instrument whose auspicious strains are a requisite for solemnising and gracing any ceremony in the South.
