Description :This article is about the Tantric and cult dances of Assam. Assam has also been known as the greatest seat of the Tantric faith in India. The Nati or Devadasi dance flourished in Saivite and Vaishnvite temples of Assam, as such they are said to have been connected with the cults of Vishnu and Siva. Attempts have been made to revive it by some performing artists who have learnt it from the old artists as a dance-form connected with the dancing tradition of Assam.
