Description :Some important aspects of the theatres- described in the Natyasastra (NS') of Bharata, have received scant attention at the hands of scholars.The reason appears to be that hardly any awareness is shown of several other disciplines, the knowledge ofwhich is vital for the re-construction of the theatres of Bharata, In some cases, mere literary interpretations have even led to much misunderstanding and misinterpretations. These theatres cannot be fully re-constructed without the help of a proper methodology. In the following pages an attempt to evolve such a methodology is made and certain aspects not touched upon by anyone before are dealt with.
